Healthy dinner choices

We don't always have a choice when it comes to eating. Whether you are on an airplane or at a conference dinner, your meal might be served to you with little consideration to your healthy diet.

But when you can make substitutions to the menu, here are some suggestions:

Instead of: Eat:
Hamburger, hot dogs Lean chicken, fish, veggie burgers
Any kind of fried meat Broiled, blackened or grilled meat
French fries, instant potatoes Baked potato, rice
Doughnuts, crosssiants, danish, cake Whole wheat toast, bagel
Chocolate chip cookies, cupcakes Fig Newtons or graham crackers
